BGLC Support options to attend the Statewide Treaty Gathering

For anyone keen on engaging with the Treaty process, Treaty Victoria is putting on a Statewide Treaty Gathering from Friday, April 5, 2024, to Sunday, April 7, 2024. This three-day event will be a cultural celebration and corroboree where mob can come together, yarn about Treaty, share feedback and ideas, and help shape the next steps on the journey to Treaty. With statewide Treaty negotiations set to begin later this year, it’s a great time to learn more and have your say

Option 1:

BGLC has funding available for 4 people to attend the entire 3-day workshop (covering accommodation Thursday-Sunday morning check out). If you are interested to attend the 3-day workshop through BGLC, you will need to be:

-A registered member of the assembly

-Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and/or Jupagulk traditional owner

-And be an active participant at Full Group meetings- be part of the treaty framework and strong commitment to treaty – help drive conversation with other members at future FG meetings

Option 2:

If you are interested in attending Saturday only, this is available for all mob interested. 

For the Saturday-only option, we’ll leave the BGLC office at 9:00am and then leave Geelong at 10:00pm to head back to Horsham.
