Victorian Legal Aid- First Nations Artwork EOI



OPPORTUNITY:

Victoria Legal Aid Horsham office is seeking to commission a unique and vibrant artwork to display in the foyer of their Horsham office, that acknowledges the peoples of the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and Jupagulk. 

They would like the artwork to celebrate the Traditional Owners of the land and be inspired by Victoria Legal Aid’s organisational values of care, courage, fairness and inclusion. 

All Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and Jupagulk artists are invited to submit an expression of interest for consideration.


FEE:

The artist fee would be $5,000.


EOI:

Please see attached Expression Of Interest/Information form.

  • If a NEW Art work: this would include sketches/ideas/mock ups with colour references. (Note Artwork does not have to be finished)

  • If an EXISTING Art work: this would include photographs of the completed artworks that you are proposing. 



NOTE

The successful artwork would include an Artist Statement addressing:

  1. How the artwork connects to Culture, Community, Country and

  2. How it relates to the organisational values of Victoria Legal Aid. (See underlined above and information in the EOI) 



Timeline:

EOI closes on 28 April, 2025.

Artwork delivery is 16th June, 2025 (6 weeks creation time)
