Barengi Gadjin Land Council (‘BGLC’) is recruiting a Human Resources and Office Manager . The successful candidate will provide a dynamic approach to the HR function of the business and ensure that all processes are supportive of the completion of business objectives. This role is also responsible for overseeing the administration management of the business and being able to provide insights on operational matters.
The Manager will be responsible for providing HR solutions and thought leadership to ensure the long and short-term objectives of the business are met. They will assist management with performance review process and arrange staff training where necessary as well as undertake administrative duties as required.
What we are looking for
You will ideally possess:
Extensive experience in similar role
Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail;
Experience in providing a high level of executive support to senior management staff;
Ability to implement strategic projects and work to agreed timelines and budgetary limits;
Diploma or higher level of tertiary education in a related discipline; and
Knowledge of legislation relevant to the corporation and the role
A current Victorian Driver’s Licence, Police Check and Working With Children’s Check are essential for this role.

BGLC is also a Registered Aboriginal Party under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (Vic) and works in partnership with government agencies and strategic partners to deliver outcomes for Traditional Owners.
